Community Wellbeing Co-ordinator 

Mind in Brighton and Hove (MiBH) empowers and supports people who have experience of mental health issues in Brighton and Hove, East and West Sussex.  

Mind in Brighton and Hove: Community Wellbeing Co-ordinator 

28 hours: £24, 825 per annum, pro rata (actual salary £19,860)

Fixed term until 30 September 2023 with possible extension to 31st of March 2024

We are seeking a part time Community Wellbeing Co-ordinator based in Hastings, with some home working and travel across East Sussex.

This role will involve delivery of 2 projects: Wellbeing in East Sussex and Breathing Space. 

Breathing Space provides one-to-one mental wellbeing support to tenants of Orbit Housing across Sussex who are referred for support to enhance their mental wellbeing and build long term resilience. This role involves creating an inclusive, non-judgmental space, providing listening and emotional support as well as wellbeing tools and signposting. Support is provided over the telephone, online and face to face and lasts for a fixed number of sessions. 
The Wellbeing in East Sussex project delivers community events and activities to promote good mental health and wellbeing across East Sussex.

The role will be varied and busy requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to work flexibly. We are looking for someone who can communicate well and has good active listening skills and awareness of boundaries.  The successful candidate will provide one-to-one emotional and wellbeing support to individual clients as well as deliver groups and community activities that help people to look after their wellbeing.
