Sussex Community Foundation raises funds for local charities and community groups across East Sussex, West Sussex and Brighton & Hove. Since 2006, we’ve given grants totalling over 14 million to 2,000 local charities and community groups.
We make it easy for Sussex people to give money to local causes close to their hearts and ensure that those donations reach the people that need them.
We manage funds of money on behalf of Sussex donors and have built a permanent endowment fund that will benefit Sussex people for generations to come. Most of the grants we give are between £1,000 and £5,000 which makes a big difference to the groups that receive them. We hand out grants approximately four times a year.
