Education Training Consortium Sussex

Formed in 2008 by four small voluntary groups/charities based in Hastings Town Centre who have come together to enable us to deliver training and education to their client groups. These include: refugees, asylum seekers, immigrants, job seekers, recovering drug users, homeless people and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. We run a UK Online Centre at the 'b@sement', which provides computer clubs for specific groups and open access computer use. We run regular workshops & courses in basic IT skills. Other activities can include a gardening club and English lessons. These vary from time to time.
ESOL course are offered for complete beginners from informal groups to people who wish to improve their English.
We provide a Dementia Day Service which offers activities for people with dementia.
The Pantry based in Dorset Place offers a membership scheme providing access to subsidised food and social activities. Open to people on low incomes.
Other projects are run from time to time depending upon funding.
