Wellbeing Centre Support Worker

31 hrs per week
£18,525 pro rata (£15,314)
(hours correlate with the centre opening times)
At Seaview we work with people who feel that they are living on the edge of society, and who experience little hope for their future. Our drop-in wellbeing centre is the main point of contact for those wishing to access our services and is open 5 days a week.
The wellbeing centre provides a range of essential resources for our users such as food and drink, showers, laundry, clothing, postal address, telephone and internet access. Our volunteers and staff also help with mental health support planning, form filling and basic advice on housing, benefits, financial advice and a wide range of other issues. Service users can also access other Seaview Services and a health clinic operated by St John Ambulance Homeless Service at the day centre. 
Our service users present with a wide range of issues including Mental Health problems, Alcohol abuse problems, Substance Misuse problems, Homelessness and other issues often associated with poverty.
The Wellbeing Centre Support Worker will work to the Wellbeing Centre Co-ordinator and as part of our wider staff and volunteer team in ensuring the centre runs smoothly and meets the needs of our service users and funders. You will need to work directly with our service users and need to be able to demonstrate the ability to maintain client records and statistical returns, Most importantly you will need to be committed to working directly with our services users.
