Community Development Co-ordinator

Compassionate Communities is about building social networks of support so people experiencing dying, death and loss are kept at the heart of the community.  As part of working alongside people in our catchment across Hastings and Rother, we have a great opportunity for someone with experience and a passion for working at neighbourhood level.  We are looking for someone with drive and enthusiasm – but also humility and patience.  They will bring people together and find out how we can really use the assets that already exist in every neighbourhood to ensure people stay connected at the most difficult times in their lives.
If you have experience of working alongside communities to develop projects and ideas, love talking and listening to people and look for potential and opportunity everywhere – we want to hear from you.

At St Michael’s Hospice we offer a friendly, team orientated work environment – a good pension scheme with the option to continue any existing NHS pension scheme membership, an Employee Assistance Programme, Benenden Healthcare, up to 29 days annual leave plus bank holidays, subsidised employee meals and free refreshments, free parking, supportive supervision and a proactive Education Department to support with your development. To apply for this position, please complete an application form. Please note CVs will not be accepted, unless candidates are unable to complete the application form due to a disability, in which case please contact the HR team.
