Carer Support Workers (3 posts)
37 hours per week
Salary: £22,183 per annum
Contract term: 12 months fixed, with possibility of extension
Our Carer Support Workers provide one-to-one support to carers by phone and face-to-face, facilitating carers groups, and undertake joint work with our partners in the NHS, Adult Social Care and the voluntary sector.
The successful applicants will be skilled communicators with excellent IT and organisational skills.  The ability to carry out an assessment of carers’ needs, gain and maintain carers’ confidence, and to develop robust partnerships with colleagues in health, social care and voluntary sectors is essential, as is an understanding of carers’ needs and rights.

All posts are subject to a DBS check.

Care for the Carers values diversity and is an equal opportunities employer.  We have a number of measures in place to support the carers in its employment including carers leave.  We welcome and encourage job applications from people of all backgrounds. We strive to support all carers across East Sussex. To do that well, we need a workforce that’s more representative of the communities we serve, so we particularly welcome applications from candidates who are disabled or from ethnically diverse communities.
