Thyme to Transform will be a project supporting people with mental health issues using therapeutic gardening and art therapy to facilitate positive changes in their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
Thyme traditionally being the herb that symbolizes courage and strength; both characteristics necessary on the journey to increased well-being and transformation.
The project will run 12 week programmes for small groups, of individuals at specific sites around the town facilitated by a qualified art therapist and supported by a horticulturalist.
It is hoped, subject to funding, that the pilot of the project will run in the spring of 2020.
