Programme Facilitator Tackling Loneliness (Connecting People and Places)

This pivotal role sits within our Community Advice & Wellbeing team, working to facilitate system approaches to tackling loneliness across East Sussex for which SCDA holds a coordinating function. This is an exciting new programme, where you will be coordinating and facilitating input from cross sector partners to bring collective understanding and a shared vision to tackling loneliness in East Sussex. The programme will enable a cultural shift and create opportunities for change through implementation of the recommendations of the recent ‘Connecting People & Places’ project (which sought to better understand the nature of loneliness in East Sussex and identify the next steps partners could take to address the problem). Please follow the link to the report: www.eastsussexjsna.org.uk/resources/annual-public-health-report-2022-23-connecting-people-and-places

Full time 37 hours per week, 2 year East Sussex County Council funded programme
Based Newhaven (with some travel expected across East Sussex)
Salary range £33,623 - £39,395 per annum dependent on qualification, skills and experience (upper range awarded to exceptional / highly experienced candidates)

Working closely with partners and others to ensure high quality input which will influence future design and delivery of services across the network of relevant stakeholders, the Programme Facilitator will help to ‘unblock’ challenges that people are facing in trying to foster more connected communities. For example, this may be achieved by sharing and embedding learning from what is working well already in East Sussex.

With a track record in effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels within the public, private and VCSE sectors, you will be accustomed to organising and running meetings and forums to gain insight and take forward ideas from across the partnership.
We are looking for people to join our team who have the qualities and skills we feel would most benefit our clients; professionalism, empathy, kindness and understanding.
